Chapter 2: Deception

Opening Statement – There is the truth and the lie.

The Truth: Righteousness=Life

The Lie: Sin=Life

The word “Righteousness” means: “the quality of being morally right or justifiable.”

The word “Sin” means: “an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law.”

Definition of the word “Deception” – “the act of deceiving someone.”

(The Truth)

Exhibit 1:

“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” – Genesis 2:17 KJV

Exhibit 2:

“For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:20-23 KJV

Closing Statement – God gave the child only one law or rule to follow; the rule was simple to understand; the rule was that sin equals death.
